This is my choice for surfcasting. I usually spool it with 20# line. These types of reels are great for smaller sharks. Sometimes the surf is too rough to launch the kayak and these reels are brought into action. The reel features a clicker, good drag, and cast great.
		This is the reel that we both selected to do our main shark fishing with. It is a Penn 9/0 and we spool it with either 80# or 130# test dacron line. A lot of shark fishermen use 12/0 reels or bigger but these suit our setup better. This reel features a great drag system, a clicker, dual rod clamps, and eyes for attaching to a fighting belt.
