KITES FOR BAIT DEPLOYMENT
|
|
|
|
Kites can be a great aid in deploying a bait. We have seen them used in many different ways
under varied conditions with success. We always carry a few with us on each fishing trip. I
would much rather let a kite and the wind do all of the work.

First of all let's go over kite selection. There are many different types of kites to choose from.
You can pick up a 99 cent kite at any department store or spend 60 dollars or more on a high
quality parachute kite. Your choice of kites should be dictated by the velocity of the wind at your
fishing area. For example, the 99 cent kite will probably fold up in a good wind at Hatteras but at
Fort Fisher it is sometimes hard to get enough wind to fly one. So try and keep this in mind when
choosing your kite.
